Professor Halliwell has carried out his research at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory and Fermilab. Professor Halliwell is active in teaching and education and is currently writing a web-based text for Physics 107. He has been nominated 7 times for the Silver Circle award (winning it in 1985) and was awarded the UIC Excellence in Teaching Award in 1998.
