Pritzker Pavilion Cosmic Rays Over Chicago Proposal

A proposal to construct a Cosmic Ray Detector of 66 extruded scintillation counters on the Pritzker Pavilion was submitted to Chicago's City-Wide Illumination RFP. If built, the public in Millennium Park would see cosmic ray showers from exploding stars appearing at the Pritzker Pavilion trellis overhead. The data would join cosmic ray data collected in our existing QuarkNet detectors throughout Chicagoland.
