Welcome!
To the web page of the experimental high energy particle physics group at
the University of Illinois at Chicago.
We focus on the study of
fundamental particles and forces of nature
through the study
of hadron collisions at the highest available energies. The group conducts its research
within the
DZero experiment, a multi purpose detector
operating at the 2 TeV proton-antiproton Tevatron collider at
Fermilab
, located 35 miles west of downtown Chicago, in Batavia, IL, USA.
In addition, members of the group are collaborating with the
CMS Experiment
, a multipurpose detector now under construction,
scheduled to operate at the 14 TeV proton-proton Large Hadron Collider at
CERN
, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Our activities are funded by grants from the National
Science Foundation
